Results of a survey on customer satisfaction in China’s automobile industry from 2019 to 2020, conducted by The China Automotive Technology and Research Center Co., Ltd. (CATARC) was just released.
In the survey, the midsize 7-seater Chery Tiggo 8 was selected as the “Best Entry-Level Medium and Large SUV” (2019-2020) for its outstanding performance and build quality as well as the excellent customer service provided by its dealers.
The annual survey covers 140 evaluation items, targets over 20,000 consumers in nearly 40 cities, and releases results to the whole industry. CATARC comprehensively evaluates vehicles in various aspects including product satisfaction, service satisfaction, sales satisfaction and after-sales service satisfaction. The evaluation results are of great reference and guiding significance to automakers and consumers alike.
The 2019-2020 survey involves nearly 40 automakers and over 130 vehicle models in China. The Chery Tiggo 8 was ranked among the top three on the entry-level medium and large SUV satisfaction list with a high score of 795 points — far above average industrial satisfaction, showing customers’ high recognition of the Tiggo 8’s product performance, sales service and after-sales service, as well as its comprehensive strength and competitiveness in its design, engineering, and specifications.
Core factor of high satisfaction: Customer-oriented product improvement
A product experience catering to consumers, as well as customer-oriented performance and quality improvements are keys to the high satisfaction for Tiggo 8. Many SUV customers favor the driving fun of a powerful turbocharged SUV, but long for a versatile and fuel-efficient vehicle. Tiggo 8’s “huge space,” “high comfort,” and “superior power.”
In an era of mobile intelligent connectivity, consumers demand the same functionality from their car as they do with their smartphones. Chery has endowed the Tiggo 8 with high levels of easy-to-use technologies. The Tiggo 8 has one of the industry’s biggest 10-inch Ultra-High-Definition (UHD) LED touchscreen Bluetooth infotainment systems, a 7-inch fully digital instrument panel, and touchscreen controls for the airconditioning system. It also uses Bosch’s new-generation ESP9.3 stability system, aerial-view 360-degree super-definition rear-view camera, multiple USB ports, wireless mobile phone charging, and other leading intelligent systems.
But the cool exclusive feature of the Tiggo 8 is its standard Chery Smartwatch Key. It’s the industry’s first-ever wearable device. Much like how modern smartwatches wirelessly syncs with smartphones, the Chery Smartwatch Key connects with the Tiggo 8. The Smartwatch Key looks like a sleek fitness band and has a rubber strap and a digital display that offers seven main functions that control various functions of the car remotely. These include locking and unlocking the car, remote engine start/stop (including remotely turning the aircon on), opening and closing the windows, remote trunk opening, incoming call reminders, and audible/vibrate alarms. It also functions like a fitness band and boasts heart rate monitoring among other fitness tracker functionalities.
Customer satisfaction is the highest recognition of products and brands. With the entry of Chinese automobiles into the global market, customer orientation has become more important than ever. The Chery Auto PH App also has a rewards program where users earn points for using the app to purchase a vehicle, refer a friend and schedule a service.
Chery Auto Philippines currently markets four crossover models: the subcompact Tiggo 2 and Tiggo 5X, the compact Tiggo 7, and the midsize 7-seater Tiggo 8. All have 1.5-liter DOHC 16-valve EFI VVT Euro 5-compliant engines (turbocharged for the Tiggo 7 and Tiggo 8) and have automatic transmissions on all models (MT available on the Tiggo 2 and Tiggo 5X).
Prices range from P695,000 for the Tiggo 2 to P1,280,000 for the Tiggo 8, with zero down payment and low monthly promos available as a limited time offer (subject to bank approval).
All Chery models come with an industry-leading 10-year/1 million-km engine warranty, a 5-year general warranty, and a free full preventive maintenance service (PMS) for 3 years.
